IGNOU Re-Registration 2025-26: Indira Gandhi National Open University has started the re-registration portal for all (Online/ODL) UG and PG level courses under the January 2025 academic session. Students enrolled in any programme such as BA, BCom, Online BCA, Online BCom, MA, MCA, Online MCom, Online MBA, are required to complete their second year admission to go in next academic year or semester. The last date for IGNOU Re-registration 2025 is 31 January 2025 for the January cycle.

Students are required to fill out their registration forms online by visiting the official portal www.onlinerr.ignou.ac.in. IGNOU Re-admission fee for BAG is INR 4,600. Students are advised to apply before the deadline to avoid late fee.

IGNOU Admission also started for the January 2025 session for the new students. The application form also available for the interested students on the samarth portal. The last date for IGNOU admission 2025 is 31 January 2025 and the application fee is Rs 300/.

The re-admission late fee for all courses is INR 200/- rupees which is applicable after the deadline.

ignou.ac.in has released the application form for re-registration for various of courses such as BA, BCom, BSc, MA, MCom, MBA, MCA and more. Students please keep in mind that complete the re-registration application form at time to avoid the late fee of INR 200 that is applicable after last date of 31 January 2025. The IGNOU Samarth Portal allows every student to register on the official website.

Key Points about IGNOU Re-Registration

Students who reside in foreign countries can re-register for IGNOU 2025 online. Whenever a candidate makes two fee payments for one application form, the university will refund one fee to the same bank account. A re-registration is enrolling in a program for the next year or semester. There are no criteria and eligibility requirements for students to register for next year or semester because they have already been admission to a particular course.

  • The term “re-registration” refers to enrolling in a program next year or next semester.
  • It is not necessary to meet any criteria for you to register for next year or semester as you have already been admission.

How to fill out IGNOU Registration Form 2025

The following steps will help you register for the IGNOU January 2025 session being conducted by the university.

Steps 1st: Registration

  • Students can visit the official website @onlinerr.ignou.ac.in
  • Click on ‘Fresh admission’ in the drop-down menu under ‘Registration Online.
  • Please read all instructions carefully before clicking the “submit” button.
  • Click here for the new registration and fill in the details.

Documents: To upload documents at the IGNOU portal, the following documents must be scanned in the original format:

  • Copy of age-proof scanned
  • Scanned photograph
  • Signature scanned from a document
  • Copies of certificates of experience (if applicable)
  • Scanned copy BPL certificates (If below the poverty Line)
  • Education and training certificates must be scanned
  • Category certificate in scanned form

Note: The upload size limit for photos and signatures is 100kb, while documents can be uploaded with a maximum upload size of 200kb.

How to Fill IGNOU Re-Registration Form Online?

The IGNOU 2025 re-registration form has been released for the January semester. 31 January 2025 is the last date to apply for IGNOU January 2025 re-registration. On the homepage of the admission system, students should click the tab for available programmes and select the desired program. Students should carefully read the details of each program, including eligibility criteria, fee details, duration, etc.

Admission forms must be submitted according to the following steps

Step 1. Re-Registration

  • Students can visit the official website.
  • On the top menu, click the online button and then the re-registration option.
  • Students can read all the information carefully and click the link to re-register.
  • The login window will appear on the screen.
  • Enter the username and password and fill out the captcha.
  • Students then click on the login tab.

Step 2. Filling out the Re-Registration form

  • Aspirants click the ‘continue’ button.
  • IGNOU courses (elective/optional) can be selected from the listed subjects of an applied programme.
  • Save your selection and click ‘next’.
  • Ensure that the details mentioned are verified before confirming them.
  • Now students must check the ‘self-declaration’ box and click “next“.

Step 3. Payment of Fee

  • To process the application fees, click the ‘Accepts and Process Payment‘ option.
  • The re-registration fee for IGNOU can be paid online using a credit card, debit card, UPI, Netbanking, and ATM card (only PNB).

Step 4. Confirmation of Payment

  • The fee receipt should be printed out and kept for future reference after the student has paid the fee.
  • To get a preview of the form, click on the Next button.
  • The application form should be printed multiple times for future use.
  • After successful submission, a confirmation message will be sent to the student’s registered email ID and mobile number.
  • If the applicant does not receive a confirmation message, he/she should contact the university officials.

IGNOU Re-Registration Fee

The IGNOU re-registration fee varies for each course, so students must examine the IGNOU fee Structure to determine the amount to be paid when re-registering for a particular program. Re-registration becomes an additional INR 2000 each time a person re-registers.

cancellation of admission and refund of fees

Students who cancel their admissions or migrate from one school to another have been asked that the university or college fully refund their fees for cancellations or migrations made up to and including October 31. This will only apply to the academic session 2025-26 as a special case, according to the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Students may cancel admission by submitting a cancellation request and requesting a refund of their fees. The applicant must notify the colleges to which they have applied that they have been accepted early decision.

  1. Apply to the college where you have taken admission requesting withdrawal of admission.
  2. In return for the original certificates and documents submitted at the time of admission, the college will return them.
  3. When you cancel your admission, your application will be removed from the college’s website.

The IGNOU re-registration form 2025 status can be checked to ensure that the form has been successfully submitted. Students are usually sent a confirmation email or their registered email ID and number by the university when their re-registration is successful.
