The NSP Scholarship is a scholarship made by the government for economically weaker section students who cannot afford their studies. NSP Scholarship has been offered by the government keeping in mind the fact of increasing dropout rate among the students completing their higher senior secondary school. Students will get financial support through this scholarship ensuring a brighter future and a stable higher education after finishing 12th.

The National Scholarship Portal also known as NSP Scholarship, has been made entirely digital and launched this Scholarship scheme, which includes all the central government education, state government education, and University grants commissions. The NSP Scholarship portal is given great importance and it falls under the mission mode project under the National e-governance Plan or NeGP. It covers all sorts of scholarships starting from class 1st to post-graduation, and it is quite efficient in managing all kinds of services, whether it is application verification, providing application receipts, and paying out scholarships to its beneficiaries.

NSP Scholarship 2024-25

NSP Scholarship aims to provide scholarships to deserving students belonging to different sections of society, belonging to minority communities and the one’s living below the poverty line with an income of less than ₹100,000 per annum. The Central Government aims to offer scholarships under a single platform and provide possible financial support.  NSP Scholarship is a SMART scholarship which offers its name SMART a simplified, mission-focused, accountable, responsive and transparent process for an efficient disbursal of the scholarship and direct funding of the scholarship amount to the beneficiary account.

To be eligible for the NSP Scholarship OTR the applicants must belong to any minority community of India or must be registered under the BPL (Below the poverty line) list. Students can study in any standard from 1st to 12th or even in UG or PG courses and must have got at least 50% in the previous class.

NSP Scholarship Login

The NSP Scholarship OTR is the ultimate single solution launched by the central government to apply for all educational scholarships and schemes whether it be applying for any scholarship scheme, application processing, sanctioning of scholarship, merit list and NSP Scholarship status.

The NSP Scholarship login portal is considered under the mission mode project or the national e-governance plan launched by the central government. The NSP Scholarship Login portal has been made to provide everything under one umbrella, and it is a single portal that consists of all the central government, University Grants Commission (UGC), AICTE, and State Government Scholarship schemes.

NSP Scholarship Amount

The NSP Scholarship Amount is different for different individuals. It depends on the economic background of the applicants, class, and ministry under which the students are eligible for the scholarship. To break it down further and get it in detail, the NSP Scholarship amount for postgraduate students is ₹15,000 per month for 10 months in a year for 2 years. The NSP Scholarship amount for pre-matric or the students in 6th to 10th standard is ₹350 per month, and ₹500 will be provided annually as a tuition fee.

National Scholarship Portal Form

The NSP Scholarship Form is available on the official central government website, www.scholarships.gov.in. The students can widely fill out the NSP Scholarship form and they can utilise the portal to learn about all the central government educational schemes. NSP Scholarship forms were made available for all the applicants online and the last date has been extended till 15 January 2024 and the last date for filling NSP Scholarship form is 15 January 2024.

Applicants who meet the requirements can submit their applications for post-matric scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal 2.0 (scholarships.gov.in). The NSP scholarship portal recommends appropriate programs for students based on their eligibility criteria. This recommendation is determined by the details provided in the application form. NSP Scholarship Renewal 

The NSP Scholarship Renewal process has been made compulsory and quite easy by the government and everything is set under a single portal www.scholarships.gov.in. If the students have completed their course they cannot do NSP Scholarship Renewal. Students must remember not to apply for fresh scholarships, as duplicate applications are rejected. 

NSP Scholarship Renewal process: Go to the student login page < click on register < pick up your domicile state < and click on renewal. Students eligible for renewal have to enter their bank details and registered date of birth, i.e., which was added for the first time when registering for the NSP Scholarship.
