IGNOU Online MCA: IGNOU offers 2-year duration Online MCA program. It is divided into four equal semesters. Online MCA program offers students an outstanding learning and research environment that will prepare them to be successful in the software industry and academia. Currently, IGNOU closed its admission window for the Online MCA course, so those students who are keen to enroll in the Online Master of Computer Application program can apply in the January session. It would help if you have an undergraduate degree in BCA or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized university, and the medium of this online course will be in English.

IGNOU Online MCA Admission 2024-25
IGNOU will commence the admission process for the Online MCA course in the second week of November for the January 2025 session. IGNOU Online MCA admission last date will be 31 January 2024*. Candidates can visit the official portal of the university @ignouiop.samarth.edu.in to complete the admission procedure. IGNOU doesn’t conduct any entrance examination for admission. Applicants who cannot get a regular degree in MCA course can go for the IGNOU Online MCA program. It is advanced in many aspects because here, students would study flexibly through the digital content available and share with themselves, and it’s downloadable.
IGNOU Online MCA Course Eligibility Criteria:
- Students have a BCA or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
- Applicants passed BSc, BCom, BA with Mathematics at 10+2 level or graduation level bridge courses below.

IGNOU Online MCA Course Fees:
We mentioned the IGNOU Online MCA course fees for National and International applicants before applying for admission.
- The fee is INR 12,700 per semester + INR 2,000 per course for MCS-201 and MCS-208. It is only for Indian students.
- If you belong to a SAARC country, the semester fee is INR 19,000, and students need to pay INR 2,000 extra per course for MCS 201 and MCS 208.
- Students from non-SAARC countries need to pay USD 1,300 per semester and USD 100 extra per course, MCS 201 and MCS 208.
- Note: In this fee university doesn’t mentioned the exam fee, it will be decided by the university.

Documents required for IGNOU Online MCA admission
Documents which have been mentioned below for admission in the MCA online course should be originally scanned:
- Students have a colorful passport-size photograph and age proof like birth certificate, educational qualification certificates, signature, experience letter, BPL, or category certificate (if applicable). Don’t forget that the signature and passport-size photo size should not be more than 100kb, and that of the other documents should not be more than 200kb.
How to Apply for IGNOU Online MCA Course Admission
- First, students need to visit the university’s official portal, @ignouiop.samarth.edu.in, to fill out the registration form for Online MCA admission.
- Create your username by entering basic information, such as your email or mobile number.
- Now, your login credentials will be sent instantly to your mobile number.
- Log in with your credentials, submit all the required details, and upload your documents, such as Academic and personal documents. Your passport-size photograph should be originally scanned.
- Now, pay the registration and course fee using UPI, credit and debit card, or net banking.
