Tata Scholarship

31 August 2024 is the last date of the Tata Scholarship, Tata Group and some of its other sub-divisions offer different Tata Scholarships for the low-income group of the society. Different Tata groups offer Tata scholarships, such as the Tata Pankh Scholarship, TSDPL Silver Jubilee Scholarship (Tata Steel Scholarship), JN Tata Endowment Scholarship, and Lady Meherbai D Tata Education Trust Scholarship. Tata Pankh scholarship is one of the Tata scholarships offered by the Tata Capital Group, which provides rewards equivalent to 80% of the tuition fee for the base amount, varying between 10,000 and 12,000 for 11th and 12th standard students. 

Tata Steel Silver Jubilee Scholarship is another New Tata scholarship offered by the Tata Steel group, launched solely for the praiseworthy students and low-income groups of the society who will be getting a Scholarship of up to ₹100,000 Rupees. 

The Ultimate aim of this Tata scholarship is to provide the best financial support to students in various academic posts or grades, including undergraduates or postgraduates, Nursing, MBBS, BDS, PG, Paramedics, ITI or Diploma, etc where they’ll be getting ₹10000 annually.

Tata Scholarships 2024-25

The Tata scholarship is available for exceptional students pursuing fields such as medicine, engineering, business, and more. Students from Class VIII onwards can also apply for the Tata scholarship programs. Moreover, aspiring students who wish to pursue higher education abroad can also apply for Tata scholarships to receive financial assistance for their study abroad endeavors.

Tata Trusts provides various scholarship opportunities tailored to meet the diverse requirements of students across different educational levels. Eligible students are encouraged to submit their scholarship applications through the online portal. The scholarships available encompass a wide range, such as the Jamsetjee Nusserwanjee Tata Endowment’s Loan scholarship scheme, the Tata Means Grant, Merit-based scholarships, the Lady Meherbai D Tata Education Trust Scholarship, the Civil Aviation scholarship scheme, the Professional Enhancement Grant, Spectrum Grants, and the Lady Tata Memorial Trust. 

Tata Pankh Scholarship 2024-25

Tata Pankh Scholarship Programme by Tata Capital Limited is a commendable effort to assist financially disadvantaged students in pursuing higher education. This scholarship program supports students in Classes 11 and 12 and those seeking general graduation or diploma/polytechnic courses. Eligible students can receive a scholarship amounting to 80% of their tuition fees or a sum ranging from INR 10,000 to INR 12,000, whichever is lower. This initiative aims to empower students and enable them to fulfill their academic aspirations.

The Tata Capital Group entirely takes the Tata Pankh Scholarship initiative as a part of their CSR- Corporate social responsibility, in which Tata Capital’s main objective is to make a good change in the lives of the students who cannot afford the burden of their studies. Tata Pankh Scholarship programme has grants for all the group categories of students, including the 10+2, Graduation and Basic diploma courses. Students in 11th or 12th standard will be getting a sum of ₹10,000 or 80% of the tuition fee, whichever is lesser; the second criterion in the Tata Pankh Scholarship is that the applicant must have scored at least 60% in the previous grade. JN Tata Endowment Scholarships 

The JN Tata Endowment scholarship program is a loan scholarship provided on the grounds of merit of the students applying. JN Tata Endowment scholarship programme, established initially by Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata in 1892, aims to offer loan-based scholarships to students of the country willing to pursue their higher studies outside of India. 

Approximately 100 applicants from various parts of the country and various subject backgrounds (science, management, law, commerce, and fine arts) are chosen to provide them with the JN Tata Endowment Scholarships. The loan amount ranges from ₹100,000 to ₹10,00,000. Still, only a few applicants get the maximum set-limited scholarship amount. 

JN Tata Endowment Scholarship is granted through a 4 phase selection process. The first phase of the JN Tata Endowment Scholarship programme involves submitting applications; you can go through the entire application filling process @jntataendowment.org/selection-process/. The second phase consists of going through an online test; in Phase 3 of this Tata Scholarship, there will be an interview with the subject expert, and the short-listed candidates will enter the final selection process. 

Ratan Tata Scholarship for Engineering Students

The Ratan Tata Scholarship for Engineering students is a financial assistance program established by the Tata Education and Development Trust to support students’ academic pursuits. This scholarship is affiliated with various universities worldwide, with Cornell University being a notable contributor. 

The Ratan Tata scholarship for Engineering students is available to all interested in pursuing engineering courses at Cornell University in the United States. It has served as a source of inspiration for numerous aspiring students looking to study abroad. Each year, 20 students are selected to receive this scholarship, enabling them to fulfill their dreams of studying overseas. In essence, the scholarship stands as a testament to the transformative power of education in shaping lives and fostering a brighter future for the nation.

Tata Education and Development Group has decided to offer 25 million dollars with a tie-up with Cornell University. This scholarship sum is provided only for tuition fees, which will be used to fund 8 out of 10 semesters. The students can pursue engineering at an undergraduate level from Cornell University under various engineering branches, including Btech in Cs and electrical engineering, civil engineering, and many other engineering courses. 

Spectrum Grants

This covers funding for sports and caregivers of children with special needs. The supported sports are Athletics, Gymnastics, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Swimming, Badminton, Pistol, Rifle, Archery, Chess, and Para Sports.
